Distribution-Faithful Data Sharing via Differentially Private Synthetic Data (Advised by Prof. Xiaotong T. Shen, University of Minnesota, 10/2025- Present)
- Developed a high-fidelity DP data sharing framework by combining DP-SGD with generative models (diffusion/flow-matching), enabling synthetic data release under strict (ε,δ)-DP.
- Derived Wasserstein-1 theoretical bounds to decouple intrinsic learning errors from privacy distortions, mathematically guaranteeing downstream ML utility and distributional fidelity.
- Designed a Distributional Cross-Validation (DCV) algorithm to optimize data generation scale, achieving near-original ML performance while effectively resisting membership-inference attacks.
Differential Privacy for Inference in the Debiased LASSO Model (Supervised by Prof. Xinzhou GUO, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, 09/2024-Present)
- Worked on asymptotic normality theory for a method combining differentially private debiased LASSO with bootstrap techniques to address selection bias.
- Studied inference methods for multimodal EEG learning under differential privacy constraints.
